Sometimes, we get a flashback, caused by current events. The current event, in this case, is Dwayne Johnson's declaration that his political views are private. We agree completely: How you vote is strictly between you and the ballot box. We have laws in this country to prevent coercion and political bullying.
Unfortunately, some of Hollywood's elitists do not agree with those laws. They have accused Johnson of being a "coward" by not airing his political beliefs. They believe that by badgering Johnson, they can get him to conform to the rabid left-wing way of thinking. They are wrong.
We intend to support Johnson in any way possible, for standing up to the crazy, hate-filled lunatics who seem to represent the political left these days. Personally, we don't like rabid people of any political stripe. THEY are the ones who are causing the division in this country. Most of them seem to be from the political left, although we have encountered some rabid right-wingers. These are not much fun to talk with, either.
The flashback comes from Germany in 1939. Hitler's Gestapo and SS are infiltrating daily life. The goal is to crush all dissenting voices. Just as a number of actors in today's Hollywood have seen their careers come to a stop when they expressed conservative opinions. If you don't march in lock step with the majority, you are to be boxed up in a corner - just as was done in Nazi Germany with political dissenters. Watch Hollywood from here onward, and see the parallels. And be prepared to stand up to the political hatemongers.
