Another GREAT (NOT!!!) Idea

So maybe ole Sherrod Brown does listen to people.  He started out his campaign to try to regain his Senate seat by slinging mud at Senator Husted, accusing him of taking money from a convicted felon.

So now, he proposes a law to prevent health insurance companies from denying coverage, when your doctor says something is needed.  Hmmm...why didn't you do that in the 26 years you were in Congress?

This is the dumbest idea since the so-called Affordable Care Act. Do you remember?  President Obama said, I will pass laws to make the health insurance companies cover pre-existing conditions, and make health insurance more affordable for low-income people.

What happened?  First, the health insurance lobby warned Obama that while he can pass whatever laws he wants, if they are forced to provide more coverage, they will increase premiums to pay for it!

Well, Obama thought he was calling the health insurance companies' bluff.  Instead, THEY called HIS bluff.  For at least five years, employers across the country were hit with double-digit premium increases.  I saw this first-hand.  HR managers were scrambling to get quotes, trying their best to contain the rampant premium cost increases that Obamacare caused.  And, sadly, the HR managers mostly failed.  I worked for one company that, in 2013, was paying 100% of health insurance premiums.  Four years later, no thanks to Obamacare, I was paying 50% of my health insurance premiums, because my company could no longer offer the great benefits package they once had.  Thank you, President Obama, for making me pay for your health insurance boondoggle, and for the fact we are ALL STILL paying for it!

So here comes ex-Senator Brown, saying he's going to make health insurance companies provide coverage for care they deem unnecessary.   Don't forget, the health insurance companies have their own doctors, who make these determinations.  The outcome is not hard to predict.  If Brown gets elected back to the Senate, and gets his law passed, only one thing will be certain - we will pay for it!  Yet another reason to tell Mr. Brown to hit the road - again.  There's a reason we voted him out of the senate; there's NO reason to vote him back in.
