Yi, Aye Yi, lies and more lies. The dems are lying through their teeth this election. Smearing people they don't like (mostly Republicans), saying untrue stuff (Harris reduced the flow of fentanyl into our country by 50%? The fact checkers say NO). Brother.
It will come down to one of the oldest questions in politics: Are YOU better off than you were four years ago? The resounding, factual answer is - NO!
Speaking of lies, on the local level, here in Ohio, they have an issue on the ballot to "end gerrymandering", and "restore accountability" to the process of drawing district borders. There are two problems with this issue. It proposes to create a "commission" of people to do the line-drawing.
1) How are people put on this "commission"? They are appointed! Not elected! The people have NO SAY in who goes on the "commission".
2) When a person on the "commission" is found to be corrupt, how do we remove them? ONLY by a vote of "commission" members! So if a member makes very sure that most of the folks on the "commission" are his buddies, he will NEVER be voted off. no matter what!
You call this "accountability"? Please close up the glaring loopholes. and come back in a few years.
