For any Democrat that wants to prattle on about politically motivated revenge, let me tell you about the longest living political vendetta ever begun. AND - it still hasn't ended!
It began in 2017, when President Donald Trump was elected. The democratic-controlled House launched a politically motivated "investigation". Its premise: Trump could not possibly have won the election without help. Russian help, they said. After months of wasting taxpayer money, no evidence was ever found.
In 2018, when the democrats won control of the House (and also beginning the rein of the most unprofessional Speaker of the House in Congressional history), the dems began harassing Trump about his tax returns. They continued for YEARS. democrats in California tried to write laws saying that political candidates for President must release their tax returns. The law was eventually nullified; as the stupid idea it was.
In December 2019, the House democrats tried to impeach President Trump for "abuse of power". Really? The House Speaker should have been called to task for her many abuses of her office. The impeachment, of course, went nowhere.
In January 2021, the House impeached President Trump AGAIN, this time on fraudulent charges that Trump orchestrated the January 6 insurrection. Every single "main stream" news outlet deleted the term "peaceful protest" from sound bytes they played of President Trump in their broadcasts. I maintain that deliberate, malicious omitting of the truth is still lying. Which is why journalism, for the most part, is a lost art.
Of course, the second impeachment failed.
That did not stop the House from wasting more of our taxpayer money in a January 6 "commission" to "investigate" the insurrection. The purpose of which, of course, was to hang the whole thing on President Trump. After many months of wasting our time and money, the "commission" finally shut down. Hey dems! I want my money that you wasted back!
Then, after Trump left the White House, the state of New York, lead by yet another democrat, began attacking Trump, alleging fraud in his business dealings. Note that none of the "mainstream" media have ever mentioned the fact that the District Attorney, Mr Bragg, is a democrat. I maintain that this is yet another politically motivated attack on Trump.
The whole underlying purpose of these continued attacks is, of course, to make Trump a non-viable candidate for President in 2024. The sad truth is that President Trump may have already done that. Many of us believe it is time to move on. Let the liberal media and democrats around the country keep using Trump as a punching bag. Let the Republican Party advance a better candidate to demonstrate to the world that the USA is not weak.
Russia and China would never have pulled the stunts they have been pulling if Trump were in office. They're taunting us now because they clearly see how weak and ineffective President Biden is. It is time for strong leadership, and it's very plain to the entire world that President Biden is not a strong leader.
