Dear Mr. President: You Are A Liar!

I am sorry to have to address the highest ranking person in our government in this way.  However, I must "call a spade a spade".  (This is an old saying meaning to call something what it actually is, rather then the party propaganda you are spewing).

Mr. Biden appeared on news programs, saying about the new Georgia voting law, "it makes it illegal to give someone standing in line a vote a drink of water."  Mr. President, that is quite wrong.  The text of the law makes it a misdemeanor to give anything to someone standing in line.  And WHY was this law necessary?  Because YOUR candidate for vice president was the one handing out the water!  Don't you think that just MIGHT - MIGHT be construed as campaigning?

Among the many thing the President DOES NOT tell you is, the new law DOES allow poll workers to hand out food or water.  Another item is, if the wait to vote is more then an hour, the local polling place is required to take action.

Absentee ballot processing can begin two weeks early, just no tabulating.  This will speed up the counting of votes on election day.

Some counties received "philanthropic" grants.  Many did not.  The new law sets a framework to collect such donation, and distribute them FAIRLY to ALL counties.

Other parts of the law address the problem of partisan pool watchers, giving local precincts ways of training and controlling them, to prevent interference with the voting process.

And, yes, the law requires some form (actually one of several) of voter ID.  This will help prevent fraud.

The head of the state election board will be required to be non partisan.   Again, this will help keep partisan politics out of the voting process.

There are other details, but I find the overall intent is positive.  The law is meant to improve voting across the board.  People from the left side of the political tracks are lying about the law.  They call it "restrictive".  That is pure rubbish.

Obviously, Major League Baseball, and some uninformed others, have not troubled themselves to actually read the law, as I have.  The MLB actually has moved the All-Star game for 2021 from Georgia in some sort of half-baked protest.  I think it's time to boycott the MLB, and any other organization who is badgering Georgia.
