A friend of a friend posted this message. I paraphrase it here, with my own additions.
Dear Mr. Biden,
I understand that during your acceptance speech, you called for unity of Democrats and Trump supporters. There are a couple of problems with your hypocritical proposal:
Four years ago, President Trump called for unity. In a show of "unity", members of your party boycotted his inaguration.
Then your party created a fake Russian dossier to try and impeach President Trump. You failed.
I remember the repeated disrespectful acts, by your House speaker. Such as ripping up a copy of the President's speech, and the infamous insincere applause.
Then your party - not my Republicans - tried to impeach the President over a Ukraine telephone call. You failed.
Your party accused President Trump of "pay to play". Turns out it was your son, Hunter, doing that.
I recall how your party blamed the President for the Covid pandemic, which he did not cause. Failing that, your party, and the liberal media, accused the President of not handling the pandemic the "right" way.
And I DEFINITELY remember last week, when all the major "news" organizations broke into regular television programming to broadcast the President's speech. Then they all broke away prematurely, in a shameful display of disrespect.
My question to you, Mr. Biden, is what will you do about all the wrongs your party and the liberal media have heaped upon the President and the Republican party? What kind of an olive branch will you offer? Words are cheap, Mr. President-elect. Sincere actions are not. Unity is not purchased cheaply.
Now here is where we see what kind of President you will be. Good luck.
