Here we are, more than a month since our last post. After some very hot weather, things have cooled down. The local schools are about to open again, and fall is coming.
This is Maddie. We inherited her after my sister-in-law died a while back. Maddie is 16 years old. She is pretty healthy for such an old cat.
This is a little, gray kitten that appeared here about a month ago. He doesn't seem to belong to anyone, so we have been feeding him, and working on getting him tamed. You know how a cats' eyes will reflect light? Well, they also reflect IR light, like from a webcam on the porch!
Maddie has decided she is the kittens' mother. They cuddle together on the porch often.
We have gotten to the point we can pet the kitten a bit. We don't know if it's a he or she, yet. I will tell you more when we find out.
In the meantime, I am thinking of putting the SPOCS event trends out to pasture. They are not doing what I had hoped. What do you think?
