Our newest penguin has passed its tests. It also gulped down every single file we used to serve on SPARCL8. On top of that, we installed a copy of SPOCS, to see if it would run. Well, it did, and quite well, even while serving up music to several local users.
Our plan is to replace the penguins with this machine. It's rugged, fast, and doesn't eat too much power.
In the meantime, you may have noticed the SPOCS online pages are down. There's some kind of SNAFU with Zymic web hosting; we will see what happens after we hear back from them.
